Deadmau5’s Nyan Car Ferrari and Other Real Life Ridiculous Rides
When a person has a lot of money, there happens to be an immense struggle to spend it all. To make travelling between homes as over-the-top as their 15 bedroom mansion in eastern coast of Fiji, the world’s richest often splurge on private jets and multi-million dollar yachts. Who doesn’t need a 90-ft boat with a helipad?
The ludicrousness continues to cars, fortunately. Ranging from wacky paint jobs to insanely fast whips, celebrities sure do know how to waste some cash.
Justin Bieber’s Chrome Fisker Karma
Funny-woman and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres bought one of the few Danish hybrid’s from company Fisker. But the plug-in hybrid was not for her, but for pop sensation and potential U.S. deportation candidate, Justin Bieber. After receiving the $100k gift, Bieber sent the ride over to West Coast Customs to get avery-reflective chrome wrap. Also installed are some very illegal LED underbody lights. Smart move, Bieber.
Lil Wayne’s Super Car Garage
Lil Wayne has been in the music industry for over twenty years. With that experience comes money. And lots of it. To burn off some cash, Birdman Jr. bought one of the fastest cars in the world, a Bugatti Veyron. This ultra-premium two-door costs $1.3 million. He can also be seen in his measly $200k Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
Birdman’s Maybach
His dad Birdman is the CEO of Cash Money Records, and has a claimed net worth of $160 million. He too owns a Veyron. If that wasn’t enough, Birdman bought a very unique Maybach Exelero, setting him back a cool $8 million.
Will.I.Am and his Beetle
Regardless of his music empire or often questionable sense of style, Will.I.Am doesn’t know how to build a car. In 2009, Will bought a 1958 Volkswagen Beetle and told Austin Weiss of The Garage on Florida’s east coast to make a “Socal Speedster.” Within the four year build, Will changed his mind every few months. The result looks like an amalgamation of twelve different cars and cost close to a million dollars.
Deadmau5 and a Feline Ferrari
The Ferrari 458 Italia is lauded as a top-tier sports car, filled with equal parts Italian heritage and attitude. But Canadian EDM producer Deadmau5 sees his prancing horse as more of a kitty cat. That’s why he got his $300k car wrapped in a hilarious and not-awfully tacky Nyan Cat. The light blue, rainbow, and kitty filled exterior makes the Ferrari purr more than roar.
