Coolest Repurposed Automotive Furniture
While there are child car seats that attach to swings sets in the home, there are no examples of car seats repurposed as glider rockers. Perhaps to people with imaginations, car seats make perfect recliner seats instead – not a glider – so nobody’s ever considered repurposing a Recaro bucket seat as a glider rocker. Still, there are plenty of people with crazy ideas about car parts out there. Here are some repurposed auto parts:

By removing the nose of a Chevy Impala and wrapping it around a low table, this entertainment center seems perfect for today’s wide-screen HD TV systems, and it makes for an inspired and colorful conversation piece too. You probably didn’t think today’s stodgy, family oriented Impalas had such potential, but guess again. This setup is perfect for game day.

Consider all the old VW vans for sale on Craigslist that just don’t run anymore. Have you ever read the ads? “I’m certain it will turn over and live another day?” Nobody suggests that they could be repurposed as pool tables? If they did, they could ask thousands more than they are already asking.

Then there’s a small group of people repurposing car interiors as office desk environments, placing round clocks in speedometer holes and using dashboard openings as pencil and scissor holders. Some people go so far as to put the front end of the auto before the dash like a grand piano. There’s no reason you can’t rev up your office space. Next, they’ll be putting wide-screen TVs in the windshield hole.
