The PCM controls a wide variety of your car\u2019s systems, including the air to fuel ratio, the engine timing, and the starter. It\u2019s connected to dozens of sensors throughout your automobile, from your tire pressure to your air intake temperature.<\/span>\r\n<h2><strong>Possible Causes of a U100 Code<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before you determine if you need to replace your, you\u2019ll want to look at other connected parts that may actually be to blame for your problem. We\u2019ll work through things methodically, to ensure that we\u2019ve covered all of our bases before we decide that it\u2019s actually time to replace our PCM.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After all, we don\u2019t want to do that unless it\u2019s absolutely necessary.<\/span>\r\n<h3><strong>First, Check Your Battery<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This may sound obvious, but check your voltage before you look at anything else. Your PCM requires a full charge to work properly.
